Lizzy
Karp

Born
and raised in Los Angeles, Lizzy Karp spent most of her childhood in the theater. She began her
acting career at the age of eight, with the production, Good Things Come In Small Packages
Since then, she’s been involved in over forty productions
including seven shows with the
Hollywood
based Ethos Theatre Company. Some of Lizzy’s favorites roles to date: The Diary of Anne Frank (Anne Frank), Twelfth Night (Feste), A
Midsummer Night’s Dream (Helena) and For
Whom The Southern Belle Tolls (Amanda).
She
is currently studying Theater, Psychology, and Early Childhood Education
at Skidmore
College
in upstate New York
and has spent the past few years assistant directing, stage managing,
lighting, and producing numerous shows in the L.A.
area. Currently, she’s ASM
on Under Milkwood by Dylan
Thomas. Her education also includes a summer at the National High School
Institute at Northwestern
University
studying acting, viewpoints, Shakespeare and Chekhov and a summer at Yale
University
studying screenwriting with Michael Nolan.
She
recently co-directed, produced, and acted in Eating
Out, a play performed in order to educate others about the prevalence
of eating disorders and you may remember her as an American Bandstand
dancer on the hit NBC drama, American Dreams, alongside Peter Spellos. After graduating Skidmore,
Lizzy hopes to start her own theater company in either Los
Angeles
or New
York
.
