Be
you a new face or an old friend, welcome to the website of the New Mercury
Theatre Acting Company AND Actor’s Resource and Information Network.
Please click around the Navigation Bar and see what our
Los Angeles
based theatre company has created: a place for actors to share information
and resources AND an Acting Company performing once a month staged
readings to raise both money and awareness for local charities in our
community.
Our
first event was Sunday April 6th at 7pm in NoHo benefiting the
new cancer center at St. Joe’s hospital in Burbank. Fritz Coleman of KNBC
joined us at our inaugural event.

All
told, our first four benefit/staged readings since then have raised $3,300
for four separate Los Angeles-based charities. We are very proud to
have helped out St. Joe's Hospital, The Los Angeles Regional Foodbank, The
Actor's Fund, and the Downtown Women's Center. We hope to produce
five more charity readings before the end of 2008.
